Todays Song is For Matt-Tea
Were just sitting around today doing utube and thinking of all the women singers that we used to listen to in the late 60s early 70s and this one came up JUST FOR YOU.

Today Song Is Reaching Out To The West Coast
I was just talking to a dear friend from the West Coast - This one is a GEM - a real diamond - I asked her what her favourite song was and to my surprise it was a Leonard Cohen song but her choice of singer was unique. I think CLR would like this one as well. I had just this week been looking at this song so that was, well, cosmic. Enjoy.
To N of NBF
This is the song that was supposed to be there that was accidentally deleted in response to your WERE A FORGETABLE BUNCH.

Paolo Conte
Todays song is for CLR - Last summer I was listening to some radio station in Toronto and this song came on and I rushed right out to get it - It reminds me of Leonard Cohen style stuff which CLR and I used to listen. Enjoy.

TO A WONDERFUL COUPLE
Ya know I do not remember when I met NAN-SEA AND LIND-SEA - but what I do remember is that having just arrived in W.Dot (ok, its Whitehorse - but its kewl to call it W.Dot) it was such a blessing for me to enter into this most cozy of log c abins at 905.4 mile Alaska Hwy. Really and truly you just had to be there. In the loft Nan-SEA created the most fantastic sewing creations with excellence. I remember the skydiving outfit for T.Booth (hi to you in W.Dot) - Can you believe that she made a sky diving outfit - I think also there were winter coats with the outer wet shell and the beautiful wool inner coat - I remember the year of the Faro Craft Fair - Nan-SEA and Marianne sewed their hearts out (1970s) making the most amazing jean skirts, vests. etc. I made a quilt, and the most amazing plant hangers if i do say so and Shel took hours at THE WOOD END WHEELERS (Greg L you were there for that - mmmmmmm I am hearing DOWN ON MAINSTREET) making hand made candles. OK Nance you have to guess who the band was in the auditorium that night - giggle - Anyway, back to the SEA′s. This cabin at 905.4 mile was so cozzzzzzzzzzzy The loft was a creative sewing area and bedroom (also creative - LOL) and there was a kitchen in the front (not sure if that is L.C. with the goggles there - too humourous) and in the back was a cozy living room and off the side of the living room was the most amazing greenhouse - Yes folks a greenhouse. It inspired me to add one to the - OK get ready for this from someone from T.Dot (Darling I love u but give me Park Avenue) house on Alexander (sunken living room with white shag carpet, fireplace lol) - Ok, enough already about me, I could go on forever about all the good times we had up in W.Dot. The next pics are a tribute to a wonderful couple. Lind-SEA passed on but Nan-SEA keeps goin on. I will always as those who knew him remember him as someone who LOVED his Nan, had a wonderful glint in his eye, wonderful sense of humour and a true craftsman.
FIRST PLACE I SAW
In the early 70s, 3 trucks went up to the Yukon. Me and G.L., his friends and S.H. and N.V. - What a blast we had going from Calgary all 3 trucks up to W.Dot. While G.L. went on to see his parents who lived in W.Dot and the other truck (sorry I do not remember their names - perhaps G.L. will fill me in on that one day) I went with S.H. and N.V. to a hippie community called Quartz Creek just outside of Cassier, B.C. This pic is so beautiful of this place in those days and I am not sure but it might be where N.W.C. and L.C lived and that might be their cabin in the background.
SUNG TO THE SONG - THOSE WERE THE DAYS MY FRIEND
Hope these pics go over well and u do not mind me posting - When I lived up in the Yukon, it was a different place. I just read today that in my favourite pub, they scan people for weapons. So in T.Dot so in W.dot - This pic represents the fun times that we had in W.Dot - Dawson had their Klondike and W.dot had their NANSEA - lol- I think I see J.W. (man who drove me up to Dawson in FIRETRUCK and W.Mc. in tophat but i could be wrong about the tophat.
WHERE ARE U?
When I lived up in the Yukon in the 1970s, we would go up to Dawson City for Klondike Daz and it was a Daz for me - I remember the first time I went up to Dawson - I went with J.W. in a 1935-45 dont know which date FIRETRUCK with no cover over the front cab. We took a bottle of some type of liquer not LIQUOR - oh yes, it was Du Bonnett - good thing we had it cause the firetruck broke down at least 3 times in the middle of the wonderful light show that was going on in the skies as they do in the YUKON - The year that I went up was the year that my roomie was dancin in the Dawson Frollies - 197? - I hope she and the sender do not mind me showing this pic. So beautiful - WHERE ARE YOU S.H. - Havnt heard from you since you sent me that gorgeous bouquet for my wedding.

Mom and her Sister
My cousin is doing a genealogy of the family - and a wonderful job she is doing indeed. Look forward to viewing the final project one day. This pic was taken at the family graveyard of Cameron (my moms maiden name) at Mount Pleasant. Real nice shot of the two of them. Thanks Aunt M for sending the pics of the day you all went out viewing old family places.

ITS RAINING, ITS POURING
Toronto has a new July rainfall record of 193.2 millimetres after 11 millimetres of rain fell on the city on July 30. That beats the former record of 182.3 millimetres set in 1980. All last week it was rain, then sun, then rain and today is rain and thunder but the sun dosnt appear to be coming back. What better way to spend a rainy day than like Lennox does. Ok, all together now - AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH how cute.

Animals
We have 4 cats - Lucille (15), Bubbah (14), Buckwheat (13) and Lennox (mmmm his age escapes me but the youngest) Lucille is mother to Bubbah and Buckwheat. We also have 2 dogs - In the pic of Mom and AT below you can see Baby Boyz’zzz in the entrance to the Secret Place and we have an Imperial Shia Tzu whose name is Chevalier (pics to follow) By the way C.A.R. the pooping has stopped inside - LOL! - Anyway the pic today is of Lucille and Lennox on the swing on the back little deck.
Grad day 2007
I will probably go a little wild temporarily since I figured out how to post pics. Here is a pic of AT our son for his graduation with my mom. This is the back corner of our garden where the secret place is. Unfortunately the Burning Bush in the background bit the dust and now there is a 6 foot piece of lattice there to keep it secret (pics to follow).
WONDERFUL STAINED GLASS NANSEA
Yippee, I finally figured out how to post a pic on my blog - Hope Nansea dosnt mind that I posted one of her wonderful creations. Carol, IXNAY ON THE HOW TO EH!

A JOSHUA STORY
The other day, Joshua ran out of power. We were sitting in the Secret Place and I re-batteried him up and left him in a tree in the Secret Place. Lucille the cat was resting in the Secret Place (by the way, the secret place is a sort of hidden corner in the south east end of our garden), and the sun was starting to beam in on her so on the west side is a curtain which I closed so she would be out of the sun. About 3 hours later the neighbour in behind came to our door and wondered about the constant noise that was coming from the corner because it was irritating. The wind kept on blowing the curtain causing an action which would constantly release the sensor in Joshua (by the way, Joshua is a Snow White dwarf who whistles Whistle While You Work). He must have been whistling incessantly with the wind blowing. I wonder if Caleb is causing the same irritation up in Whitehorse (Caleb is Joshuas brother who moved up to Whitehorse in January).
