CLR says - Sunny, clear blue sky. I take a cup of freshly brewed coffee onto the deck, let music of Greece play softly in the background, open a lawn chair, settle down with my book and look forward to enjoying my space all to myself. Not five minutes pass before the singing and clapping from the Church of Latter Day Saints across the street becomes louder than my music. Then the swans fly overhead in a large lazy "V" honking away. Not only can I not hear my lovely music, but cannot concentrate on my book either. But I have to say the swans are always a sight to behold, on their way north. April is the month for the Celebration of Swans, when the Trumpeter and Tundra Swans rest at M'Clintock Bay on Marsh Lake before continuing their flight north. You can often see their formation in the skies and hear their honking as they fly. Sometimes they fly so low you can hear their wings flapping.

ROCKETTE RACOON
These pics arn't all that great yet today we were looking out our back screen door and saw this raccoon lieing in the sun and were even wondering if she (think its a pregnant female therefore the name Rockette) was alive but then up she got and left to the neighbours pine tree (they are now in the process of trying to rid her from their place). I have to wonder about the new bins that we have for garbage cause they will not be able to get into them. (at least I think they won't be able to). One night I could hear the swing moving on the back porch and looked out and their was our cat Bubbah sitting with Rockette swinging away.

'IT TAKES SOME NEW SNOW TO GET RID OF THE OLD.' - DOUGLASTOWN 2009
While most of us this Easter Sunday are enjoying although chilly Easter weather, some in Canada are experiencing another weather SITUATION! My bud just got back from the U.S. to this weather in Douglastown, Quebec:
Here's one that Nance took 5 minutes ago from her back door
This next pic is a cove along the St. Lawrence River just after a town called Rimouski (about 4 hours from Montréal).
Nance loved to see such wild water again!!! Very exciting. She loved the smells. It's sure felt great to be home again- said Nansea.
This one is of a lake called L'Anse Pleureuse which is located in a short cut that Nance takes through the Appellation Mts.
This pic shows some seagulls chillin' along the shore. The St. Lawrence River is salt water which flows out to the Gulf of St. Lawrence, which then becomes the Atlantic. Douglastown is nestled along the Bay Of Chaleur.
As Nanseas great Aunt used to say, 'It takes some new snow to get rid of the old.' And she was never wrong!

THE VISIT
Last Wednesday, April 1, 2009 we had a great meal at our friends home. I loved the little red dutch shoes on a neighbours door. Cheers H. and A. D*ahl.
On another note, April 1 is as we all know is April Fools Day. Well, thank you Mr. O*b*ama for making it official. He signed in another dedicated day to a people group of earth - April 1, 2009 is now officially a*theists day. Interesting.
