BIG YELLOW TAXI

I belong to 2 Facebook historical Tdot sites - Vintage Toronto and Toronto Old Districts. Today on VT, they had this picture and someone commented "OMG I never knew that's what Joni Mitchell meant in her song, seriously!" - I thought to myself 'Neither did I consider this and I just love Joni'. The song Big Yellow Taxi was recorded in 1970 on the album LADIES OF THE CANYON, but it was the album Blue recorded in 1971 that made me a fan ever since. Thanks to Nancy Aslett (eh CLR). Toronto had yellow police cars from 1969 to 1986. I have to wonder that I do not remember them considering one night after the Quarry and good ole Mr. CLR etc. etc. etc. - Another trip down memory lane.

I just came across a pic of THE NICKELODEON which was located on Yonge, just south of Dundas on the east side - 279 Yonge Street. It is now a well know club called - CLUB 279 and is above THE HARD ROCK CAFE.
