Yesterday due to the fact that I am under the weather (no pun intended) I stayed in touch with Ontario Tornado Watch online viewing amazing photos of the storms that came thru. Just before the following image came thru to go over the lake we were stowing away the many potted planters. The image is coming south from downsview. Saw it as it passed us. Never seen anything like these shelf clouds before.
Outside of the city these ones were taken and I liked them because they had faces.
This was just added to OTW online - EF2 touchdown in Teviotdale - 220 km/h - northwest of Elora. Here is what was said - This is my daughter's video. My husband was driving the vehicle at the time it was being shot. They pulled over immediately after she stopped recording this. They both said at that point it did take him using both hands to pull the car over to the shoulder and it was at that they described it becoming completely "black" in front of them as if they were in a "black dust storm". They said people did continue to drive right towards it and Chad was quite surprised they could control their vehicles. Tailor assured me the funnel cloud does look closer to them then it actually was but still too close for comfort.
